Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in Australia. It occurs when blood glucose, or in simple words, blood sugar, is too high. It is one of the common conditions that, if not treated, can affect a person’s body very severely over some time. This condition also lasts very long. Thus it is necessary for people with diabetes to be very cautious while maintaining the preventative steps to avoid severe consequences. On the other hand, Diabetic Retinopathy is an eye disease strongly influenced by diabetes. As diabetes damages the blood vessel’s proper function, it impairs certain functions of the eyes, making it weak. There are two stages of Diabetic retinopathy, they are Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy is the early sign of diabetic retinopathy. It is also one of the most common reasons diabetic patients lose their vision gradually. In these early stages, the blood vessels can close, leading one to have blurry vision. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy is a more severe case.
